Big Boar Down!,
By: Basinboy
Date: May 7, 2008
Snooks and I headed up to the lease Monday to try and get some work done on our foodplots. We left town at 3pm and drove onto the lease at 5:30pm! We wanted to try and sneak in a hog hunt while there. We geared up and headed to our stands hoping the hogs weren't already there. I was barely settled in my stand when I hear BOOOOOM!!!!!
I received a text message from...

Team Shallow Water Holds Sway in Matagorda!,
By: jgreen
Date: May 5, 2008
There are times in the lives of all outdoorsmen that will never be forgotten. I personally will never forget my first successful fishing tournament and the role that Richard, other experienced professional fishing teams and various sponsors played in making it such a great memory.

Few things can bring you more joy than pursuing one of your favorite passions....

The website instant messanger is up now. We are still working out a few bugs, but overall I am very happy now that members can now talk one on one live. My two boys and I took my father to his deer lease this weekend in Centerville, Texas to fill his feeder. I found out after we got there that i needed to clean brush out of one road, put windows covers on his deer stand, and...

Winter TIme,
By: Charles
Date: Oct 23, 2007
The weather finally feels like the start of fall in Texas. Besides bow season opening it is also about time for the fall flounder run. I happen to have a great private place to fish for flounder thanks to member Bigfowl. Once the water temp falls to below 70 degrees and stays there, I will be out and catching some flounders. I have been dieting for a month as well due to a...

Trout Bite Heats Up As Temperature Heats Up

The wind continues to be an adversary on the water. Most days lately have included high winds that make fishing a little harder. The good news is the water level in the rivers has increased making more places available to everyone.

Recent trips have included a variety of fish but the most common catch...

Two Times the Fun!,
By: jgreen
Date: Apr 22, 2008
Well, you know how much I love a challenge! So, this year’s turkey hunt in the beautiful Texas Hill Country would be NO different…..

After a recent boat accident, I managed to successfully strain my rotator cuff tendon and twist my ankle (not to mention a few bumps and bruises - ouch)! I had hoped to take a big tom with my bow this year, but the rotator cuff...

Well, the time has finally come. This weekend marks the opening tournament of the Texas Redfish Series in Corpus Christi, TX. The Captain and I have spent countless hours on the salt searching for tailing reds, mud boils and untapped honey holes! We built an awesome oxygen system to keep our fish alive and unstressed (good conservation effort). Now all we have to do is find...

Un-Natural,
By: benjismokin22
Date: Mar 29, 2008
This has to deal with a subject in which i came across this afternoon. I was talking about hunting whitetiails in wiscsonsin, when i came to the subject of fawns. It was said by my friend, that raising a fawn by hand then releasing them into the wild, is an okay act by the people. I strongly disagree. I feel that anything in this beautiful land, whether it be man or beast, has...

I am happy to say that thanks to finding a hunting lease on texasleaseconnetion.com, myself and a few other myoutdoorspace members have now acquired a nice 1280 acre piece of property in the legendary south texas brush country in Zapata, Texas. We went out this weekend to check the place out and saw plenty of game from whitetail, ducks, coyotes, dove, quail and hogs. This is...

The holiday season is upon on. I seem to be going to a x-mas party every weekend in December. I do not know how I made time to hunt in previous years. Yea right, I made time! Bigfowl and I are already looking for a deer lease for next year so that excites me a lot. My wife and I are dealing with a crying baby every night so that is taking a toll on us. The website is...

The 2007 fall flounder run has started, and since I do not have a place to deer hunt this year, I decided to take advantage of some fish. Thanks to my secret spot, compliments of bigfowl, I was able to land several nice keepers yesterday. While I was fishing on the bank, All the boaters around me at this private property location had to deal with gale force cold winds....

Nascar Weekend,

The Texas coast redfish trip that deadeye and I went on last weekend on Boliver penninsula was a wash. We had a great time trying out my new kayak in the calm surf and talking about the good ole days but the fish were not in. We heard that the texas coast has been a little slow lately due to all the freshwater from months of rain so we will blame our lack of success on that...
